Marble (Framed)

Rajasthan, India is famous for its marble. The artisans in Rajasthan use marble as a painting medium to showcase traditional as well as contemporary styles. The royal city of Jaipur takes great pride in having introduced this art form to the world. First, the design is drawn on the marble and embossed. Then, pure gold leaf is affixed. Next, the designs are embellished with enameled colors and with colored semi-precious stones. Finally, the entire piece is lacquered.

Jewelry

Rajasthan is famous for traditional jewelry, which is renowned for its beautifully intricate design and patterns. Rajasthan women love to wear jewelry and on festive occasions or in wedding ceremonies, you will find them wearing traditional Rajasthan dresses, decked out from head to toe in gold and silver heavy jewelry. Our artists have captured some of this splendor by hand-painting on marble tile with pure gold leaf and colored semi-precious stones.

Turbans

It has been estimated that there are approximately one thousand different styles and types of turbans in Rajasthan. Our artists have captured some sample turbans beautifully in these hand-painted creations on marble with gold leaf foil and semi-precious stones.

Vintage Cars

Rajasthan - the royal state of India - preserves the auto heritage of the nation. Each January, Jaipur, the "Pink City of India", hosts a vintage car rally. Some of the most popular antique car models in this annual event are the 1903 Humber, the 1923 Fiat 501, the 1936 Mercedes Benz 170V, the 1938 Morris 8, the 1923 Austin, and the 1923 Erskine. These make excellent gifts for car collectors and vintage automobile enthusiasts.

Weapons

The people of Rajasthan are known as Rajputs (warriors). Rajasthan was once ruled by various kings, and a variety of weapons were used by the Rajput warriors. Being the royal state, these weapons were often decked with precious metals and gemstones. Daggers (hand weapons), pole arms (long-hafted weapons), and battle axes are all examples of ancient weapons. With the use of gold leaf foil and semi-precious stones, our artists have captured on marble the beauty of these weapons.
